Chablis Grand cru Les Clos 2011

- 92 points -

"The wood regimen is sufficiently subtle to allow the ultra-pure and elegant aromas of yellow orchard fruit, white flowers, lemon rind and mineral reduction to shine. The rich, intense and equally mineral-driven big-bodied flavors are brilliantly well-delineated before exploding into a chiseled, dry, saline-infused, austere and beautifully long though markedly austere finish. As one would reasonably expect this will need a few years to completely come together."

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
