The 2014 Sea Smoke ‘Southing’ Pinot Noir is a seductive wine, which come exclusively from the estate vineyard. As this slowly begins to open it releases a gorgeous bouquet of strawberries, blueberries, cherries and a touch of cranberry woven together with baking spices, orange peel and pretty violets all taking shape. On the palate this possesses beautiful round, polished tannins and a lovely soft texture leading up to the complex finish, which leaves behind a mouth full of juicy red fruits and exotic spices. Overall, this is a delicious, utterly pleasing Pinot Noir, which is already showing extremely well and should also evolve gracefully over the course of the next decade.
