The 2013 Barbaresco Nubiola is soft, succulent and open-knit. Crushed flowers, mint, anise and dried cherries all lift from the glass in a surprisingly accessible, silky Barbaresco that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. The 2013 is not especially complex, but it is delicious and approachable, especially with some air. The Nubiola is a blend of fruit from six different sites. The youngest vines are 20 years old.
