A wine of extraordinary precision, the 2012 Barolo Via Nuova possesses stunning vibrancy and energy. Dark cherry, cherry pit, blood orange, orange peel, exotic spice and mint are all laced together in a chiseled Barolo that bristles with energy. Addictively beautiful and inviting, the Via Nuova is endowed with a super-classic, mid-weight feel, knock-out aromatics and fabulous overall balance. The Via Nuova is a blend of six vineyards; Liste and Terlo (Barolo), two parcels in Mosconi (Monforte) and Gabutti and Baudana (Serralunga). Chiara Boschis has done a terrific job with her Via Nuova. This is compelling juice.
