Light, bright gold. Deeply pitched aromas of poached pear, honey and fennel, with a lifting minerally element. Taut, stony and smoky on the palate, offering bitter pear skin, buttered toast and a touch of chamomile. At once rich and lively, with strong closing thrust and an echo of smoke. This complex bottling spent three years on its lees.
