(made with 75 percent whole clusters and aged in for 18 months in barriques, half of them new) Inky ruby. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe blue fruit, potpourri, incense and vanilla, and a hint of olive emerges as the wine opens up. Sweet, penetrating and seamless in texture, offering intense dark fruit preserve, spicecake and floral pastille flavors and a touch of mocha. Closes smooth, broad and very long, with resonating spiciness and an echo of sweet blue fruit.
