Oldfield Reserve Golden Mile Chardonnay 2016

- 93 points -

Gutsy, luxurious, creamy.
What used to be known as Oldfield Series, is now Oldfield Reserve. This Chardy was fermented in French oak using natural yeasts then matured in oak barrels for an additional 18 months.
It's an unabashed Chardonnay, providing intense notes of toasted coriander, burnt lemons, buttered baguette, yellow apples, grilled pineapple, hazelnuts and vanilla. The palate is creamy; flavours of dulce de leche, toasted praline and spice dominate the palate. Supple in weight and slick in texture with a lengthy finish.

About Wine Scores

What is a wine score and how do wine reviewers (I don’t refer to myself as a wine critic, I review wine, I don't criticize it) decide on that score?
A wine score is a numerical rating wine reviewers give to a wine based on a series of elements. Every wine reviewer (or wine critic) has their own method of getting to a conclusive number even if they use similar guidelines to one another.
