Oldfield Reserve Rosé 2016

- 91 points -

Bouncy, refreshing, new. What used to be the Oldfield Series rose, is now named Oldfield Reserve rose. It comes with a new label look and the change (label and name) seems to include a few of the previously named Oldfield Series, although I'm not sure how many or which. Made entirely from Cabernet Franc, Tinhorn Creek's rose is exceedingly refreshing with aromas of blood oranges, sarsaparilla, summer sweet berries and creamy nectarine notes atop notes of lilacs and roses. It has a kiss of sweetness, deftly offset by lively acidity. It boasts an intrinsic bounciness to the palate, which is further enhanced by its bright fruity finish.

About Wine Scores

What is a wine score and how do wine reviewers (I don’t refer to myself as a wine critic, I review wine, I don't criticize it) decide on that score?
A wine score is a numerical rating wine reviewers give to a wine based on a series of elements. Every wine reviewer (or wine critic) has their own method of getting to a conclusive number even if they use similar guidelines to one another.
