Chablis Vieilles Vignes Tour du Roy 2014

A discreet application of wood frames aromas of ripe green fruit, tidal pool, shellfish and a hint of iodine. There is excellent concentration to the attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality onto the lingering and balanced finale. This is not presently quite as complex as it usually is at this early stage but the excellent track record of this wine is beyond reproach and thus my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that more depth will develop with time in bottle.

À propos de Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
