SIMON BIZE

Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er cru Les Talmettes 2012

In contrast to the expressiveness of the Marconnets, this is reticent to the point of being all but mute save for a background floral nuance. There is a lovely sense of energy to the well-delineated, intense and tautly muscular flavors that terminate in a dusty, austere and moderately rustic backend. This should be capable of delivering up to a decade of development potential.

À propos de Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
