Velvety crimson colour with a soft rim. Lovely aroma of peppery Syrah dark fruit and just a slight herbal stemminess. Gets more and more peppery in the glass. Succulent and mouth-watering chalk-fine texture, freshness and all that lively peppery fruit. Long, savoury, spicy finish. A delicious wine from a master of the northern Rhône. (JH)
