Clos Apalta 2014

- 94 points -

It’s all relative, but this is one of the better-balanced Clos Apaltas I’ve tasted. Aged entirely in new oak, it’s a rich, glossy, late-picked style that’s typical of consultant Michel Rolland. But the tannins are fine, the fruit ripe rather than pruney, the acidity fresh enough to support the weight of the wine.
