Consider this pinot an investment in your future happiness. Although it comes with a hefty price tag, it is a solid to addition to your California collection. The palate is on the light side of mid-weight, lightly creamy with some oily viscosity. Boasting a range of complex flavours including raspberry jam, dried leaf, new leather, rhubarb, pine and plump cherry which are complimented by natural spice. Tannins are quite fine and the acidity is nicely balanced. The flavour of oak spice is well-contained and doesn't hinder the expression of fruit. Excellent depth, length and showing a true sense of place. Best 2016-2020.
