Insoglio Del Cinghiale 2012

- 92 points -

A very alluring IGT red that is dominated by Syrah and fleshed out with Cabernet Franc, Merlot And Petit Verdot. The nose is rich and fragrant; roses, cherries, mocha, cedar chips, briary berries and vanilla are layered with smoke, licorice, bacon fat and sweet spices. The palate follows suit; plush earthy and powerful with cocoa, leather, fine spice, dark fruit and cigar. Impressive weight, texture and length. Part of a one time buy at BC Liquor Stores, so grab it now and pair it with roasted meats or aged, hard cheeses.

À propos de Wine Scores

What is a wine score and how do wine reviewers (I don’t refer to myself as a wine critic, I review wine, I don't criticize it) decide on that score?
A wine score is a numerical rating wine reviewers give to a wine based on a series of elements. Every wine reviewer (or wine critic) has their own method of getting to a conclusive number even if they use similar guidelines to one another.
