The vineyards are situated in a hilly district set in a mountainous region that feature multiple ravines that may be more than 100 meters deep. The vines are grown on limestone soils in the south-east of the province of Valencia.
The grapes are gently pressed and cooled to 10°C before entering a 3 day fermentation period at a controlled temperature of 21°C. A short rest in oak barrels brings complexity and warmness to the wine.
A seductive full-bodied wine made from organic Monastrell grapes (also known as Mourvèdre), a typical variety derived from the Spanish Mediterranean Coast. Powerful aromas of dark fruit and floral notes on both the nose and the palate lead to herbaceous flavours with a hint of black pepper on the finish.
Aromas of plums, blackcurrants, sweet vanilla, licorice, cocoa nibs and spiced oak. Mellow and creamy on the palate with a ripe dark-fruit profile, plush tannins and a lingering finish. From organically grown grapes. Sustainable. Drink or hold.
