About this winery

Champagne AYALA is one of the longest-established champagne Houses; it has been based in Aÿ, at the heart of the great champagne vineyards, since it was founded over 150 years ago. Winemaking notes

Rosé Majeur is the perfect embodiment of the originality and finesse of the House’s wines. Made predominantly from Chardonnay it is crafted with the addition of a small proportion of Pinot Noir from the best crus of the Montagne de Reims. A low dosage enables it to express the House style, both feminine and generous, with great elegance.

Tasting notes

Charming, generous and open on the nose. Aromas of red berries (strawberries, raspberries) and vine peaches. The palate is light yet expressive. Shows great freshness, due to the high proportion of chardonnay in the blend. Notes of red gooseberries and raspberries, with a lengthy and voluptuous finish.

Very attractive, bright strawberry and blueberry aromas here. Superb freshness and attractive fragrance with focused, fine textural detail on the palate. Disgorged in December 2017.

December 2018

Aromatic notes of fresh basil, spice and citrus zest accent the juicy white cherry and biscuit flavors of this fresh rosé Champagne. The firm, focusing acidity is well-meshed to the fine mousse and flavor range.
