Located high above the town of Ampuis and the Rhône River, Domaine Jamet produces tiny quantities of stunning Côte-Rôtie. The estate was founded in the 1950’s by Joseph Jamet and he began domaine bottling in 1976. In 1991 his son’s Jean-Luc and Jean-Paul took charge of the business slowly acquiring small parcels to expand the estate. The Côtes du Rhône is an assemblage of parcels located on the upper slopes of the commune of Ampuis.
Grapes were de-stemmed and macerated for two weeks. The wine was matured for 12 months in oak barrels used for the previous 4 to 5 earlier vintages.
This wine has aromas of strawberries, raspberries, herbs and graphite. On the palate, it demonstrates beautiful finesse, fine tannins, and fresh acidity.

Subtly sweet blackberry and cherry flavors show very good energy and pick up a suave floral quality with aeration. Displays sharp delineation and strong, spicy lift on the persistent, gently tannic finish, which features lingering cherry pit and floral qualities.

Juicy and supple in style, offering energetic blackberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors that firm up on the back half.
