July 2020

A polished, refined nero d’avola with blackberries, black olives and blueberries. Hints of stones. Full-bodied with a nicely formed palate and a long, linear finish. A cooler style, compared with the often jammy rendition of this grape.

August 2022 (Vintage 2020)

Plenty of crushed mulberry and blackberry aromas with hints of fresh herbs. Medium bodied with medium, round tannins and a delicious finish. Iron-like undertones. Shows a nice balance of light tannins and freshness, as in recent vintages.

June 2019

Made from nero d’Avola from young vines and vinified entirely in stainless steel, Neré is a fresher, more approachable wine than Maccari’s barrique-aged Saia (also recommended here). It feels dense yet juicy, with plum and blackberry flavors and lively notes of black licorice and spice.

April 2019

Medium ruby color with an earthy nose; flavorful and juicy with racy acidity and crisp berry notes. A hint of earth reappears on the finish.
