December 2016

The wine is rich and full in the mouth with ripe fruit from the deep clay soil of this premier cru. It is beautifully concentrated and ripe. The fruit is so crisp and juicy that this yellow and white-fruit flavored wine could be drunk now.

November 2016

Ripe and creamy, this white displays lemon cake and white peach flavors, with a stony undertow. Harmonious and long on the finish. Lively acidity keeps this focused and clean.

September 2016

Butteaux lies on the west side of the Premier Cru Montmains, comfortably preserved within in a warm circle of terroir. The 2015 seems exaggerated with respect to texture from its lees like all Brocard, but here with more weight, girth, density and structure. Preserved lemon slowly filters to drop by drop and there is more perceived sweetness which just adds to the fullness and textures. The vintage speaks and here is another example of why Brocard is so well known for clean wines of extreme clarity.
