About this winery

Jean-Marc Brocard's origins lie in the Côte d'Or, a farmer's son from the village of Chaudenay-le-Château, not even the son of the vigneron. Following his father’s advice Jean-Marc studied Engineering leaving behind agricultural life. It was an accident of marriage that brought him to wine when he married Claudine (his childhood sweetheart), a vigneron's daughter from the village of St-Bris-le-Vineux in the valley of Yonne. Allen Meandows, October 2019 (Vintage 2018)

A cooler nose offers more slightly obvious Chablis typicity on the citrus, acacia blossom and white orchard fruit aromas. The crisp, intense and well-detailed middle weight flavors exude a fine bead of minerality before concluding in a relatively dry, persistent and lingering finish. I wouldn’t describe this as classic in style but certainly more so than the Petit
Chablis.
