Michaela Morris, Janvier 2025 (Millésime 2021)Always assembled from seven sites within the villages of Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba, Azelia’s Barolo takes Cerretta and Bricco Voghera in the latter as its base. Freshness on the nose presents as rosehip, cranberry bush, violet and pomegranate. The palate follows with might and exuberance: rich dark raspberry melds into layers of ripe, soft tannins. Underlying brightness and tangy acidity keep this vivacious, while tea leaf and nutmeg prolong the finish. A classy and immediately satisfying Barolo.
