November 2018

Super ripe yet delicate with some yeasty aromas that will integrate with time. This is rich and powerful, but has plenty of freshness, the finish sleek and super-mineral. Great aging potential.

January 2019

Medium- to full-bodied, with fine viscosity caressing the palate, featuring lively acidity midpalate, as well as notes of cream, vanilla spice and white pepper and flavors of peach and pear. A streak of minerality sneaks in on the back end, introducing a long, savory finish.

December 2018

From the warm and loessy middle part of the cru, the 2017 Ried Loibenberg Grüner Veltliner Smaragd offers a very delicate, fine bouquet of ripe, precise fruit aromas intertwined with flinty aromas. Intense and lush on the palate, this is a generous, very elegant, stimulating, salty-piquant, almost racy Smaragd with power, finesse, tension and vitality. The finish is long and grippy and reveals a still youthful wine that has very good aging potential.
