Clay and limestone. Highly calcarous. Facing East, South-East on the side of la Roche de Vergisson. Vineyard is at 360 meters altitude.
Hand-picked grapes, whole berry pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrels (228 liters each) for 11 months.
La Roche has GOT to be THE NOBLE TERROIR of Vergisson, fully facing east at the foot of la Roche de Vergisson. Here too, the 50 year-old vines draw quintessential minerality. A purist’s wine also capable of charming a beginner. To be kept for at least 2 to 3 years before opening. Absolutely worth the effort!
