Notes about product

Clay and limestone. Highly calcarous. Facing East, South-East on the side of la Roche de Vergisson. Vineyard is at 360 meters altitude.

Winemaking notes

Hand-picked grapes, whole berry pressing, 100% vinified and aged in oak barrels (228 liters each) for 11 months.

Tasting notes

La Roche has GOT to be THE NOBLE TERROIR of Vergisson, fully facing east at the foot of la Roche de Vergisson. Here too, the 50 year-old vines draw quintessential minerality. A purist’s wine also capable of charming a beginner. To be kept for at least 2 to 3 years before opening. Absolutely worth the effort!

August 2019

The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé La Roche is one of the highlights of the range, wafting from the glass with notes of Anjou pear, orange rind, white flowers and anise. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with an incisive spine of acidity, good concentration and a mouthwatering finish.
