About this winery

Ca’ dei Frati may sound like a monk’s hideaway—and it was, centuries ago—but today it’s a benchmark name in Italian wine, famous for white wines that actually age like legends. Production notes

Soft pressing of grapes and fermented in stainless steel. Aged for a minimum of 6 months in steel tanks on the fine less before bottling.

Tasting notes

When young, it is fresh, linear and furnished with great sophistication and elegance, with delicate hints of white balsamic flowers, traces of apricot and almond. Time enables it to evolve, allowing the mineral notes to be expressed with greater determination, thereby acquiring its complexity: traces of iodates, spices and candied fruit stand out. It is capable of enveloping the whole palate thanks to a significant savory essence, accompanied by strong, exuberant acidity.

October 2024 (Vintage 2023)

Bright silver straw yellow. Initially slightly reductive on the nose, after a little time notes of citrus and grilled rosemary, smoky. Dancing on the palate, with good freshness and clear, cool fruit, stretches nicely over the tongue, still young at the moment, solid.
