Product notes

The House’s 178 hectares are planted with 85% of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vines, spread over seven main vineyards: Aÿ, Avenay, Tauxières, Louvois et Verzenay are planted with Pinot Noir, Cuis with Chardonnay and Champvoisy with Pinot Meunier. Bollinger is one of a very few champagne Houses to produce the majority of their own grapes for their blends.

Hints of red currant, cherry and wild strawberry A spicy touch, not unlike Special Cuvée. A subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity, with bubbles as fine as velvet.

November 2017

The excellent 2006 vintage encouraged Bollinger to create a vintage rosé to reflect the quality of the grapes, especially the Pinot Noir. The fruit comes from 84% grand cru vineyards and 16% premiers cru vineyards. The wine was barrel fermented before spending over 10 years maturing in the bottle. It has a delicious Pinot character, with mulchy red fruits, accompanied by a soft Chardonnay note of delicate bruised apple and some woody breadth. It has a delicious streak of raspberry acidity, and comes across as a finessed and structured champagne that is only at the start of its life.

A graceful rosé, with bright acidity seamlessly meshed with the fine, chalky texture and rich profile. A base note of roasted almond underscores flavors of dried white cherry, mandarin orange peel, anise and ground ginger. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.

November 2023

Based on the 2020 harvest, with only 5% red wine added, the NV Champagne Brut Rosé pours a bright pink salmon hue and jumps from the glass with a perfume of crushed roses, cardamom, ripe raspberry, and toasted brioche. Full-bodied, it’s juicy on opening, filling the palate with refined red fruit and blood orange, and has a rounded mousse as well as a long finish. Perfect as an aperitif or to end the night, it also feels like it will have a good deal of life ahead
