Tenuta Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona is a spectacular estate in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled regions of Italy. It is located in the hills south of the ancient town of Montalcino, above the River Orcia and not far from the legendary medieval Abbey of S. Antimo. Production notes

Only produced in the most exceptional vintages, the Riserva is produced from Pianrosso single-vineyard fruit and sees 4 years of aging in 20-62 hl Slovenian oak barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle aging.

November 2016 (Vintage 2010)

Aromas of plums, flowers, fresh mushrooms and violets. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a long, long finish. Beautiful balance and length. Powerful tannins underneath the exquisite fruit. Great finish. Goes on for minutes.
