November 2021 (Vintage 2019)

This deep ruby/purple-hued effort has a pure, vibrant, incredibly seamless, medium to full-bodied style that carries classic notes of black raspberry and black cherry fruits as well as peppery herbs, violets, spring flowers, and sous bois. This straight-up gorgeous, seamless, ultra-fine 2019 should be snatched up by readers. It has a rare mix of elegance, purity, and power, and it’s going to have two decades of prime drinking.

Matt Walls, February 2021 (Vintage 2018)

Darkly coloured, deeply fruited - a promising start. Dense, concentrated and fairly tannic but with good freshness and great vibrancy of fruit. This has all it needs to age; it promises to be longer lived than most 2018s. The alcohol is the only thing holding it back from very long ageing - will poke out in time. A very good, classic, fresh clean style, not overly polished, but it has more energy than most in this vintage. Biodynamically-grown Grenache (66%), Syrah (15%) and Mourvèdre (10%), the rest being made up of Clairette Rose, Cinsault, Grenache Gris, Terret Noir, Picardan, Picpoul Blanc, Muscardin, Bourboulenc, Picpoul Noir, Vaccarèse, Roussanne, Picpoul Gris, Counoise and Clairette! They are grown on soils that are roughly one third each galets roulés, sand and chalk, and vinified mostly in stainless steel and tronconic wooden vats, then aged in oak barrels of various sizes and ages, including 5% new oak.

August 2023 (Vintage 2021)

A pure, focused style, with generous raspberry ganache and red licorice flavors that are juicy, inviting and well-framed by finely sculpted tannins and graphite shavings. Full-bodied without being heavy, with black pepper, wild herbs and mesquite playing out on the fresh, structured finish. Grenache. Drink now through 2035.

October 2021 (Vintage 2019)

Ripe and lush as well as vibrant and fresh, thanks to violet and graphite notes that enhance the corpulent cassis, plum and blackberry preserve flavors. Delivers light tar, anise and roasted apple wood notes on the finish.

February 2023 (Vintage 2020)

An elegant red, with nice freshness and purity to the wild cherry, plum and red licorice flavors. Shows a spine of crushed graphite that firms up the somewhat structured palate, with charred garrigue and sandalwood on the finish. Best from 2025 through 2035
