Tasting notes

Sparkly red currant tones give pause while admiring this wine in the glass. Fruit-packed, it exhibits the best characteristics of a young Sancerre rose, with raspberry and wild peach aromas. Full and round in the mouth, it opens up gradually, with a fresh liveliness being tempered by a hint of tannins. It finishes on fruity notes (black currant, raspberry) with a long, pretty aftertaste of citrus fruits.

June 2023 (Vintage 2022)

Crafted from Pinot Noir grape, the 2022 Chavignol Rosé from Domaine Delaporte exhales a fresh, fruity bouquet with aromas of red berries, spring flowers, spices, pomegranate and menthol. It is juicy and delicate, ripe and round and has a long, penetrating, refreshing finish. This is a strong effort.

August 2022 (Vintage 2021)

If you're looking for a Provence-like colour in your pink, the 2021 Rosé Sancerre from Delaporte is not it. Instead, it's a rather jolly raspberry-hued pink with strawberry and cream flavors. It's a dry, mid-weight Rosé that's attractive and easy to enjoy but with a little more substance than most. It's tangy finish reflects the cool 2021 season, lending vibrancy and sense of direction. Hugely enjoyable.
