Joaquín Hidalgo, March 26 (Vintage 2024)

The 2024 Semillón comes from Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo and was aged 15 months in French oak, 35% under flor. Expressive for the variety, it opens with hazelnut, nutty hints, vanilla, caramel and candied fruit. Dry and enveloping on entry, it narrows through the mid-palate with a compact texture. The finish stretches the aging flavors and recovers some of the breadth lost in 2023. It is a stylistic wine in which aging defines the profile, moving Semillón into another register.
