Tasting notes

Bright, pale yellow. Good thrust to the aromas of citrus and stone fruits, flowers and menthol. Fatter and denser than the Cote de Joan but with more energy as well. The apple and peach flavors show good depth and persistence.

October 2022 (Vintage 2021)

A subtle, but quietly brooding Côte de Léchet, with white flowers on the nose, struck match note and more than a hint of the Côte d'Or about it. Natural yeasts used here, with the wine all aged in old foudres.

Antonio Galloni, January 2020 (Vintage 2018)

The 2018 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru offers good brightness and energy, as well as fine overall balance. Citrus and saline notes give this mid-weight wine some structure.

This also flashes plenty of classic Chablis character though with much more citrus influence. Once again there is fine underlying tension to the delineated and mineral-driven flavors that possess a sleek mouthfeel while displaying fine length on the balanced finale. This also needs more depth so a few years of cellaring should prove to be beneficial.
