About this winery

The Morey family is one of the most well-known in the Côte de Beaune. The family name can be traced back for more than five generations in the villages of Chassagne and Meursault, and today great wines are produced at both Domaine Pierre Morey and Domaine Jean-Marc Morey. October 2021 (Vintage 2020)

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Vergers 1er Cru has a touch more terroir-expression and mineralité on the nose compared to the Les Chenevottes. The palate is taut and fresh with kernels of orange rind and sour lemon. Fine energy and good concentration on the finish, this is an excellent Chassagne that should age well in the cellar.

Neal Martin, November 2022 (Vintage 2021)

The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet Vergers 1er Cru has a slightly more penetrating nose than the Vergers, more mineralité coming through with time. The palate is well balanced with fine grip and matière, lime and orange pith; it's very pretty towards the finish with almond and walnut on the aftertaste.
