About this winery

The Gimonnet family has been growing vines in Champagne since 1750. In 1935 Pierre Gimonnet, grandfather of current owners Didier and Olivier, began producing champagne in the village of Cuis. James Suckling, July 2022 (Vintage 2015)

Very deep and concentrated with fantastic mineral freshness lifting the substantial body, this is a sparkling chardonnay masterpiece. Great candied-citrus and chalky complexity at the expansive finish, yet this remains so pure and straight. From vines planted in 1911 and 1982. Disgorged in April, 2021. Drink or hold.

Jeb Dunnuck, November 2022 (Vintage 2015)

Expressive and sunny, the 2015 Champagne Cramant Grand Cru Special Club Brut is ripe with orchard fruits, lemon bars, and white flowers. The palate has more depth for the range and is also broad, though it does have tension and a stony finish. With notes of salted lime, ripe white peach, and green pear, this is a more warming wine that can stand up throughout a meal. Of the 2015s, I think this one will stand up nicely over time. Drink 2024-2042.
