Product notes

The exceptional cool moderate 2016 vintage provided premium quality fruit to work with. Cabernet Sauvignon was selected from the Oakley, Osmond, Loretta and Homestead vineyards and the Merlot was harvested from the Johnston Prolific and Canine blocks.

Tasting notes

The wine displays aromas of musk, blackberry, stewed rhubarb, enhanced by hints of spice and mint. The palate delivers ripe blackcurrant, red capsicum, spicy plum and glazed cherry, with traces of black olive and subtle cedar oak. This powerful yet elegant wine is approachable now with breathing or will develop with correct cellaring.
