The estate once belonged to the noble Ridolfi family of Florence, land-rich and wine-savvy since the old-school days of Tuscany. Product notes

North - East side of Montalcino Hill, 300 mt above sea level. Medium texture soils rich in clay, marine fossils and, in the highest part, Alberese (weathered sandstone). Vineyard cultivated following the organic agricolture principles. Sexual confusion method to prevent the spreading of the vine moth. Use of organic humus, sowing and green manure to improve the soil quality. In all of our working premises we have a plastic free approach.

Production notes

Hand Harvested. Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. For the first 7-10 days of the fermentation, pumping over is carried out 4 times a day. Maceration on the skins for 45 days. Aged for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

October 2024 (Vintage 2022)

Bright ruby red. Initially restrained on the nose, opens discreetly to cherry and marzipan, with a hint of hay and oregano on the finish. On the palate it shows with a rich fruit texture, reminiscent of candied berries, shows good tension and a lingering finish.

March 2023 (Vintage 2022)

There's purity to the cherry, raspberry and floral aromas and flavors. Silky and elegant, this red builds gracefully to the long aftertaste.
