About this winery

Thibault Liger-Belair comes from a great winemaking family that has deep roots in Burgundy: he is a direct descendant of the Napoleonic General Louis Liger-Belair, who acquired the Chateau de Vosne in 1815 when he married Ludovie Marey, whose family had been Burgundy negociants since 1720. Youthful, passionate and always full of ideas, Thibault trained as an oenologist, but had his start in the wine industry as a wine buyer. He is also a former rugby player with a genuine 'down to earth'...

Product notes

The name Jeunes Pousses does not mean young vines but a young winemaker's project. We offer to the young wine professionals the opportunity to manage the estate for a period of 3 years in all its activities, from the vineyard to the sales. At the end of this period, its new winegrowers "Jeunes Pousses"will be allow to create their own domain, with this solid experience and fly of their own wings.

Tasting notes

It is a serious Beaujolais Villages for the appellation, the color is quite deep, the tannins are fine but present, we find notes of white pepper and strawberries characteristic of these granite soils. This is a wine we can drink even in its youth.
