A very dense and gorgeous wine with stone, limestone, chalk and dried apple character. Full body, off dry. Amazing finish. It goes on for minutes. What great transparency and clarity.
See detailed press reviewThe 2013 'Hengst' Gewürztraminer is absolutely sublime. This gorgeous off-dry white dazzles with alluring aromas of white peach, lime, lychee, orange zest, jasmine, honeysuckle, beeswax and saline minerals which all come together in the glass. On the palate this is beautifully textured with remarkable overall balance and precision. It continues to show striking depth of flavor through the zesty, mineral-laced finish. The 2013 'Hengst' is a completely compelling wine, which has the potential to evolve gracefully for decades to come.
