The Trousseau for this vintage mainly comes from the Clear Lake AVA, with smaller portions from Fort Ross-Seaview and Green Valley. It's fermented whole cluster, basket-pressed and aged in neutral barriques for eight months. Aromas of dried fruit, brown sugar and rust lead to a fine-grained, weightless palate of golden raisins, white pepper and cranberry skins. A poised, rustic and beautiful example of a variety gaining ground in California, in large part due to Arnot-Roberts.

Février 2022 (Millésime 2019)

An expressive nose of cranberry, raspberry, rosemary and elderberry. Medium-bodied with fine, well-integrated tannins. Juicy, fruity and bright on the palate. Fun, but definitely structured with a floral finish. Very cool stuff. Drink now

Janvier 2021

The 2019 Trousseau is very pretty, showing sweet dried cherry, orange peel, spice, cedar and rose petal. Exotic and beguiling, with striking aromatics and tons of lift, the Trousseau is just exquisite right out of the glass. Don’t be fooled by the pale color and somewhat fleeting feel; the 2019 has enough depth to drink well for a number of years. The 2019 is mostly a blend from Luchsinger, with two barrels from Bartolomei, done with 100% whole clusters and aged in neutral oak.

Janvier 2019

The 2017 Trousseau (North Coast) is a very pretty wine. In this vintage, the Trousseau is a bit richer in feel and less whole-cluster influenced than is usually the case. Dried cherry, wild flowers, rosewater and savory herbs all grace this polished, exquisitely beautiful wine. The 2017 was aged mostly in neutral oak, with a bit of stainless steel.
