Antonio Galloni, Août 2023 (Millésime 2020)

The 2020 Chianti Classcio Porcacciamiseria is bright, floral and savory, and yet also has enough fruit to keep things in check. White pepper, chalk, dried flowers, mint, blood orange and red-toned fruit are all beautifully delineated in this intensely mineral, taut Chianti Classico. This is classic Lamole at its best.

Antonio Galloni, Août 2023 (Millésime 2021)

Just bottled, the 2021 Chianti Classico Porcacciamiseria is a gorgeous wine driven by bright acids and veins of supporting tannin that give shape as well as a good bit of energy. Red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint, cinnamon and dried flowers are some of the many notes that build in this vibrant, mid-weight Chianti Classico. This is a fine showing.

Septembre 2023 (Millésime 2021)

"Porca miseria" translates as "holy cow" in English, and the Jurij Fiore & Figlia 2021 Chianti Classico Lamole Porcacciamiseria takes that exclamation of surprise one step further. This is a beautiful wine and one that you are not likely to find, given that only 938 bottles were made. On a symbolic level, this wine is very important because it captures the philosophy at the heart of Lamole. This is Sangiovese with tiny additions of other Tuscan complementary grapes that reveal exceptional elegance and grace. Wild berry and cherry are followed by lots of blue flower and lilac. Fruit comes from a site perched at a very cool 654 meters above sea level, making this a very contemporary expression in a world of changing weather patterns and new microclimates.
