Décembre 2018

The Pirque vineyards were planted by Santa Ema in 2012, about a thousand meters high, along with the "second leaf" vineyard, just two years later. This wine is very interesting with hints of spice and menthol touches, along with deep and juicy red fruits. A way to experience a high elevation red wine from Chile. *Translated from Spanish*

Juin 2017 (Millésime 2014)

The high altitude of Pirque, close to the Cordillera, offers herbal cabernet, often more delicate than wines grown in the rest of the Maipo Valley. Winemaker Andrés Sanhueza has considerably reduced the amount of new wood in his wines (in 2014, he aged 33 percent of the wine in new oak, down from 60 percent in past vintages), so the Pirque fruit is clearly felt here, delivering notes of ripe raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and herbs. The tannins are pointed, but covered by delicious fruit flavors that make it both juicy and firm. Enjoy its youthful energy with a beef brisket.

Août 2018

This is an archtypal cabernet from Pirque, one of the highest spots planted to vines in the Maipo Valley. With seductive scents of menthol, herbs and tart red fruit, the wines’s acidity and fine tannins frame and support the fruity notes. It’s young and already delicious, ready to serve with grilled flank steak. It’s also ageworthy, a subtle red that will gain in complexity and depth.

Mai 2020

Aromas of black cherry, olive, green herb and tobacco amount to a classic Maipo Valley nose. Racy acidity gives this Cabernet a juicy outlook, while brambly berry, cassis and olive flavours finish with a bit of spice.

Mars 2018

Cool and fresh. A sleek cabernet with some real elegance. The dry tannins carry the long finish beautifully. Drink or hold.
