About this winery

Notes about product

The grapes for this vintage were sourced predominantly from the Lenswood Vineyard (planted in 1999), at 455–500 metres' elevation. East and west facing aspects on gentle slopes, the soils are brown loams over clay with broken shale on the ridges.

Winemaking notes

The grapes were hand picked and whole bunch pressed, then fermented and matured on lees in French oak barriques and puncheons.

Tasting notes

Aromas of white flowers, citrus, lemon blossom and nectarine. Bright acidity, showing elegance and restraint.

A stunning chardonnay for the intensity and complexity it delivers, this has attractive flinty aromas aligned with white peaches and nectarines. The palate has mouthwatering intensity with fresh acidity and very attractive fruit purity. Grilled hazelnuts to close.
