The Tamellini family have been cultivating vineyards for generations, passing down their knowledge and passion from one generation to the next. In 1998, brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco decided to take their family's legacy to the next level by starting their own winery. They were determined to create something truly special, a one-of-a-kind Soave that would set them apart. Gaetano took on the role of managing the growth and production of the vineyards, while Pio focused on turning the grapes into the Tamellini wine. Their commitment to producing a wine that honored the traditions of Soave, using the region's signature grape, the Garganega, combined with the latest technology, is what has made their company unique. The family owns 38 ha of vineyards, 7 ha in Soave Classico and 31ha in Soave DOC. They are divided into 17 hectares of the Veronese pergola training system and the vines have average age of 60 years and 21 hectares of guyot trained vines with an average age of 20 years. They have not used fertilizers for over 20 years. They only use cover crops and never use insecticides. Their goal is to minimize the environmental impact as much as possible. The next generation, Gaetano’s sons Giosuè and Leonardo joined the family company a few years ago.
