JEAN-MARC BROCARD

Chablis 1er Cru Vau de Vey 2019

- 91 points -

The reserved nose is at once more elegant and offers noticeably
more Chablis character with its slightly cooler if still mildly exotic aromas of white orchard fruit suffused with hints of oyster shell, ocean breeze and quinine. Once again there is fine concentration to the vibrant and utterly delicious flavors that are caressing but solidly powerful before culminating in a clean, saline and moderately dry finale.

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
