JEAN-MARC BROCARD

Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir 2014

This is also distinctly woody and while the oak doesn't dominate the ripe and mildly exotic white and yellow orchard fruit nose, it can't be described as subtle. Otherwise there is a lovely sense of purity to the intense, sleek and generous yet precise medium-bodied flavors that possess a succulent mouth feel, all wrapped in an impressively complex and lingering finish. Like the Bougros my rating assumes that the wood will ultimately be successfully integrated.

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
