JEAN-MARC BROCARD - Chablis 1er cru Montmains - 2018

JEAN-MARC BROCARD

Chablis 1er cru Montmains 2018

(from Montmains proper, one-third of which was barrel aged). A notably more floral-inflected nose displays notes of spice, wet stone, mandarin orange and reasonably abundant Chablis characters. The sleek, intense, refined and racy medium weight flavors exude evident minerality on the refreshing and saliva-inducing finale. While there is a
touch of the exotic present on the nose, overall this is a fairly classic Montmains.

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
