LATOUR-GIRAUD - Meursault Cuvee Charles Maxime - 2012

LATOUR-GIRAUD

Meursault Cuvee Charles Maxime 2012

(from the Domaine founders of Charles Giraud and Maxime Latour – the fruit derives from 5 separate lieux-dits; note that in both 2012, it includes the Limozin and Bouchères, both of which are usually bottled separately). This is even more markedly reduced though the wood application is evident. There is good vibrancy and volume to the delicious and exceptionally rich middle weight flavors that also display a saline character on the balanced and lingering finish.

About Burghound.com

Burghound.com is the result of a nearly lifelong passion for the wines of Burgundy. For more than 30 years, I have been collecting the wines and visiting the region. Each year I spend nearly five months visiting, researching, tasting, exploring and evaluating. Burgundy is my obsession really. Expanding on my coverage of the coveted pinot noir grape, each issue provides continuous coverage of both Oregon and California pinot noir, with rotating coverage of Champagne and occasional special reports from other pinot producing regions.
