Founded in 1825, the Faiveley family established themselves among the most prestigious vineyard owners in Burgundy, with 120 hectares of selected plots, seldom bigger than a single hectare. It is an upscale introductory that celebrates all the annual La Paulée fetes held across Burgundy to mark the end of the grape harvest. Expect an entirely correct red fruited pinot that comes with a touch of weight and power you might not be expecting. Excellent acidity and a spicy back end make it a perfect mid-week dinner red for salmon, or pork. A top-level Bourgogne for sure.
