Azelia's Bricco Fiasco is made from 65-year-old vines, and is from the same site as Scavino's Bric del Fiasc - the latter being its name in the local dialect. There's a smokiness on the nose that may derive from the small barrels in which it has been aged, but the red fruit aromas penetrate through clearly. It's rich, full-bodied and concentrated in the mouth, with firm tannins. It's spicy and intense thanks to its good acidity, with a solid, lively and long finish.
