CONFURON-COTETIDOT - Gevrey-Chambertin - 2016

CONFURON-COTETIDOT

Gevrey-Chambertin 2016

Bright, dark red-ruby. Explosive aromas of black cherry and black raspberry complicated by game, spices, soil and licorice. Compellingly deep, lively village wine with the class of a premier cru: wonderfully refined and primary, conveying an almost Syrah-like ripeness to its black cherry and licorice flavors. This wine has a relatively high 3.75 pH but conveys an impression of harmonious acidity and balance. Tannins spread out horizontally to saturate the very long finish, which displays excellent medicinal reserve. Made almost entirely from Confuron's vines in Champs-Chenys, just below Charmes-Chambertin.
