FINCA VILLACRECES

Ribera del Duero 2010

- 93 points -

86% tempranillo, 7% cabernet sauvignon and 7% merlot; aged for 16 months in new French oak): Inky purple. Heady aromas of candied dark berries, incense and oak spices, with a bright mineral quality adding complexity. Sappy and precise on the palate, offering intense black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that show a cool restraint thanks to tangy acidity. Finishes spicy and long, with sneaky tannins and resonating minerality.
