CLOS DES FOUS

Pinot Noir Latuffa 2018

The 2018 Latuffa Pinot Noir, produced with grapes from Malleco in the south, has a lot less alcohol (13%) than the one from Aconcagua and a more floral and herbal profile. Most of the vines were planted in 2010, but there's one hectare from 1999. They did a soft vinification with indigenous yeasts and an élevage in used barriques for 18 to 24 months. This is very spicy and very different from the other two Pinot Noirs, with pungent notes of nutmeg, cola nut, cinnamon and clove. It opens up after some time in the glass to flowers and blood orange, becoming quite spectacular. It's medium-bodied, has vibrant and pungent flavors and is focused and nicely defined. 3,000 bottles were filled in January 2020.

À propos de Wine Advocate

The Wine Advocate was a bi-monthly publication and Robert Parker Wine Advocate continues this tradition, although articles and reviews are now published every week. The main goal is to publish regionally focused reports, which mainly offer wine reviews of new wine releases, but they also produce important vintage retrospectives and occasionally single-label verticals and producer profiles. Since 2019, Robert Parker Wine Advocate has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Michelin Group.
